There are a number of pieces of content relating to the events tool that can be updated by organization admins. To update these pieces of content, go to the admin homepage > CMS > Content > Events.
When a user creates an event — whether an event included in a calendar, a petition event, or a group-sponsored event — they will receive the Create Event Thank You Email. Likewise, when a site visitor RSVPs 'Yes' to an event, s/he will receive the Thank Attendee RSVP Email.
If an event is full, prospective attendees will be asked to join the waiting list. If one of the yes attendees decides to update their RSVP to no, or if the attendee limit is raised, users on the waiting list will be notified that they can attend the event, starting with the first person to join the waiting list. When this happens, the user will receive the Promoted from Waitlist to Attending Email.
The Event Share Email Template is displayed when a visitor to the event page clicks the email share button.
If the event is cancelled by the host or by org admins, all attendees will receive an email informing them of the cancellation. This email can be edited by updating the Event Cancel Template.
The Approaching Event Email Reminders are sent to hosts and attendees on the day before the event to remind them about the event.
If an org admin changes the host of an event – by going to the admin view of an event and clicking Switch User – the new host will receive the New Host Thank You Email.
For events that are included in a calendar, you can ask event hosts for their mailing address. This can be useful for sending packets of materials to them. If you choose to enable the mailing address ask, we'll use your organization's default help text.
This help text can be overridden at the calendar level, but the default global text is set by updating the Explanation for why we need the address of the host.
Finally, the Missing Target Phone Number Message is only used for constituency bound calendars. At the moment, this type of calendar is only supported in the United Kingdom.
As an admin, you can configure after-action popups (daisy chains) for event attendees. When these rules are configured to show the attendee a welcome message, the text of that modal will be set from Title and Text for welcome modal.
